Year 6

Drama

KS2 Drama

Drama in KS2 at Portland Place School allows students to explore situations both in and out of character. Using a range of dramatic activities, students develop teamwork, confidence and begin to discover the world of theatre. Students develop their creativity and imagination during lessons. During this time they learn to employ strategies such as: hot seating, freeze frame and thought tracking.

By exploring voice, movement, gesture and facial expression, students develop their dramatic skills. These skills will then be showcased by performing in a Year 6 show at a performance venue in Central London.

Extra-Curricular

LAMDA Classes (every Monday and Friday after school)

We are delighted to exclusively invite the pupils of Portland Place School to develop their speech and drama skills, through our LAMDA Acting Classes.

School Musical

Once every two years, the Drama and Music departments join forces to stage the Portland Place School Musical. Students from both the Lower and Upper school can be involved and this production.
